These Rules explain how Elqro's points and potential rewards work.
They should be read together with the Elqro Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1. Points are not money
Elqro points are an internal scoring system.
They:
- have no cash value;
- cannot currently be exchanged for cash;
- cannot be transferred or sold;
- do not represent ownership of Elqro; and
- do not constitute a financial product.
2. Current points structure
The current website may award:
Submitted
+5 points
Awarded when a qualifying problem is submitted.
Shortlisted
+25 points
Awarded when Elqro decides to shortlist a submission.
We're building it
+100 points
Awarded when Elqro decides to use a submission as part of an active development project.
Product launched
Potential reward
If Elqro launches a product or service based on a submission, Elqro may consider a monetary reward.
3. No guaranteed reward
A submission does not automatically qualify for a monetary reward.
Elqro may determine that a submission receives no monetary reward.
The amount of any reward is determined by Elqro based on the circumstances of the relevant opportunity.
4. Factors considered
When deciding whether to provide a reward, Elqro may consider:
- originality;
- usefulness;
- commercial potential;
- how directly the submission contributed to the resulting product;
- whether substantially similar submissions were received;
- the amount of development undertaken;
- the contribution of other users;
- the circumstances surrounding the development; and
- other relevant factors.
5. Multiple contributors
Where several users submit similar or related problems, Elqro may consider contributions collectively.
A reward does not necessarily belong exclusively to the first person to submit a particular problem.
Elqro may divide, combine or otherwise determine rewards where multiple submissions contribute to the same opportunity.
6. Abuse
Elqro may remove points or reject submissions involving:
- spam;
- duplicate submissions;
- automated activity;
- fraudulent activity;
- misleading information;
- attempts to manipulate the system; or
- other abuse.
7. Reward communication
If Elqro decides to provide a reward, the relevant recipient will be informed of the applicable amount and any reasonable conditions required to process the reward.
8. No payment for points
Accumulating points does not create a debt owed by Elqro.
Points cannot be redeemed for money unless Elqro expressly introduces a separate redemption system.
9. Changes
Elqro may modify the points structure for future activity.
Changes will not be used to intentionally misrepresent an already-confirmed reward.
