Elqro Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 23 September 2026
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Elqro and the website at elqro.com. By using Elqro, submitting a problem, checking your points or otherwise using the website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Elqro.
1. About Elqro
Elqro is an online platform that allows users to submit problems, frustrations, needs or opportunities that they believe could potentially be addressed through a product, service or other solution. Elqro may review submissions and may decide to investigate, shortlist, develop, commercialise or otherwise use ideas or solutions arising from submissions. Elqro does not guarantee that any submission will be reviewed, selected, developed, commercialised or rewarded.
2. Eligibility
Elqro is available to users who are permitted to use online services under applicable law. There is currently no general minimum age requirement for submitting a problem to Elqro. Users under 18 should consider speaking with a parent or guardian before submitting information or participating in any activity involving potential rewards. Elqro may introduce age restrictions or additional safeguards in the future where reasonably necessary.
3. Submitting a Problem
When submitting a problem, you should provide information that is truthful and reasonably accurate to the best of your knowledge. You must not submit: illegal material; threats; abusive or harassing material; malware or malicious code; another person's confidential information; passwords, financial information or authentication credentials; highly sensitive personal information about yourself or another person unless absolutely necessary; material that infringes another person's intellectual property rights; spam or deliberately meaningless submissions; or material intended to interfere with or abuse Elqro.
You remain responsible for the information you submit.
4. Private Submissions
Problem submissions are intended to be reviewed privately by Elqro. Elqro does not currently provide a public feed of individual submissions. However, you acknowledge that Elqro may need to disclose information where required by law, to protect rights or safety, or to service providers who process information on Elqro's behalf.
5. Ownership and Rights in Submissions
By submitting an answer, problem, idea, proposal, suggestion or other material to Elqro, you agree that Elqro may use, reproduce, analyse, modify, develop, combine, commercialise and otherwise exploit that submission and concepts derived from it. To the extent permitted by law, you assign to Elqro all intellectual property rights that you own in the submitted material and in any ideas, concepts, developments or solutions contained within that submission.
Where an assignment of a particular right is not legally effective, you grant Elqro a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, develop, commercialise, distribute and otherwise exploit that material for any lawful purpose.
You confirm that: you have the right to submit the material; your submission does not knowingly infringe another person's rights; and you have not knowingly included confidential information belonging to another person or organisation. You should not submit confidential business information, trade secrets or information that you do not have permission to disclose.
6. Points
Elqro may award points for qualifying activity. The current points structure displayed on the website may include: Submitted: 5 points; Shortlisted: an additional 25 points; We're building it: an additional 100 points; Product launched: a reward may be considered.
Points are an on-site scoring mechanism. Points do not represent money, electronic money, cryptocurrency, shares, securities, ownership of Elqro or any other financial asset. Points cannot currently be exchanged directly for cash.
Elqro may refuse, remove, correct or adjust points where a submission is fraudulent, duplicated, abusive, automated, misleading, spam, technically invalid or otherwise contrary to these Terms.
7. Rewards
Elqro may choose to provide a monetary reward or another benefit in connection with a submission. A reward is not guaranteed merely because a user submits a problem. The amount and existence of any reward may depend on factors including: the usefulness of the submission; whether Elqro develops a product or solution from it; the commercial value of the resulting opportunity; the extent to which the submission contributes to the resulting product or solution; whether other people submitted substantially similar information; whether the submission meets Elqro's eligibility requirements; and other circumstances reasonably relevant to the decision.
Some qualifying submissions may receive no monetary reward. Where Elqro decides to offer a specific reward, Elqro will communicate the applicable amount and any conditions that apply. Elqro will not intentionally advertise a specific prize or reward and then refuse to provide it where the applicable conditions have been satisfied.
8. Duplicate and Similar Submissions
Multiple users may submit the same or substantially similar problems. Submitting a problem before another person does not automatically guarantee a reward. Where multiple submissions contribute to the same development, Elqro may determine how recognition or rewards are allocated.
9. Fraud and Abuse
You must not attempt to manipulate the points or reward system. Examples include: creating multiple submissions solely to obtain points; automated submissions; submitting copied material repeatedly; deliberately providing false information; attempting to access another person's points; attempting to access administrative functions; attempting to interfere with Elqro's systems; exploiting technical vulnerabilities; or otherwise attempting to obtain an unfair advantage.
Elqro may suspend access, remove points or reject submissions where it reasonably believes abuse has occurred.
10. My Points
The My Points feature allows users to check information associated with an email address used when submitting a problem. Users should only enter their own email address or an email address they are authorised to use. Elqro may introduce additional verification or security measures if necessary.
11. Intellectual Property Belonging to Elqro
Unless otherwise stated, the Elqro name, branding, website design, software, graphics, text, logos and other material created by or for Elqro belong to Elqro or its licensors. You must not copy, reproduce, sell, distribute or commercially exploit Elqro's proprietary material without permission.
12. Third-Party Services
Elqro may rely on third-party providers including hosting, infrastructure, database, analytics, security and deployment providers. Those providers may process information on Elqro's behalf. Use of third-party services may be subject to those providers' own terms and policies.
13. Availability
Elqro is provided on an ongoing basis where reasonably possible, but continuous availability is not guaranteed. The website may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, updates, security issues or circumstances outside Elqro's reasonable control.
14. Changes
Elqro may modify the website, points system, reward system, features or these Terms. Where changes materially affect users, Elqro will take reasonable steps to communicate the change. The current version of these Terms will be available on the website.
15. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful. Subject to that, Elqro is not responsible for losses that could not reasonably have been expected to result from use of the website or for events outside Elqro's reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms affects statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
16. No Guarantee of Commercial Success
Submitting a problem does not guarantee that Elqro will develop a product, make money from the submission, launch a product or provide a reward.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that provide otherwise.
